Eagles members to pay tribute to Glenn Frey at Grammys

Members of the Eagles are getting back together for a special tribute to the late Glenn Frey at the Grammys next week.

The Recording Academy announced on Feb. 10 that Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, Timothy B. Schmidt and Joe Walsh will all take the stage to pay tribute to their late bandmate. Jackson Browne, who co-wrote several hits with members of the Eagles, will also perform.

“Glenn Frey's untimely passing was a huge loss for the entire creative community,” Recording Academy CEO Neil Portnow said in a statement. “For more than 45 years, the Eagles have played a significant role in shaping our musical landscape. We are honored to welcome the band, along with Jackson Browne, to the GRAMMY stage in tribute to Glenn's tremendous legacy.”

Frey died last month at age 67 after a battle with several illnesses. In 1977, the Eagles' "Hotel California" won Record of the Year.

Frey isn’t the only late musician to receive a tribute at the Grammys. Lady Gaga is headlining a tribute to David Bowie, who also died last month.

The Grammys are on Monday, Feb. 15 on CBS, beginning at 8 p.m. LL Cool J is hosting.
