John Mayer, Dead & Company announce new tour dates

Dead & Company, the collaboration between former members of the Grateful Dead and guitarist John Mayer, has announced a 2016 summer tour.

The 18-date tour will kick off at Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tennessee on June 9. Next, they will head to PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte. They will play Citi Field in New York on June 25 and 26 and Fenway Park in Boston on July 15 and 16.

Dead & Company includes founding Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, along with Mayer. According to Entertainment Weekly, the group will perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Feb. 18. The group toured last fall.

Weir and Mayer performed together on CBS’ The Late Late Show when Mayer guest hosted last year.

The Dead & Company shows come after all the Grateful Dead performed their Fare Thee Well Shows last year. As for Mayer, he released his most recent album, Paradise Valley, in 2013.
