Matt LeBlanc to star in CBS sitcom, despite also hosting ‘Top Gear’

Matt LeBlanc is going to be a very busy man this year. The former Friends star is set to star in a CBS sitcom, even though he’s also signed on to co-host Top Gear for the BBC.

The new comedy is titled I’m Not Your Friend and was created by That ‘70s Show writers Jeff and Jackie Filgo. They will executive produce with Michael Rotenberg and LeBlanc, reports TheWrap. CBS has already given the show a series commitment.

LeBlanc will star as a contractor stuck raising his children after his wife goes back to work.

The news comes less than a week after The BBC announced that LeBlanc was picked to be the first non-British co-host of the main Top Gear series. He will be paired with British radio host Chris Evans.

LeBlanc has experienced a career revival thanks to Showtime’s Episodes, which earned him a Golden Globe. The show was picked up for a fifth season, which might be its last, unless the show plans on continuing without him.
