'Teen Mom 2' star Jenelle Evans' ex-fiance Nathan Griffith arrested for allegedly stealing her car

Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans’ ex-fiance, Nathan Griffith, has been arrested this week after turning himself into Wilmington, N.C. police. A warrant was issued for his arrest last month.

Griffith was charged with larceny and released on an unsecured bond, meaning he didn’t have to post bail. Evans was the one who issued a warrant for his arrest on claims he stole her car.

“Ms. Evans, after speaking to law enforcement, then went to the New Hanover County magistrate’s office and swore out a warrant,” Griffith’s attorney, Megan Milliken, told RadarOnline. “What that means is that law enforcement did not issue this warrant. This was something that Jenelle Evans did on her own initiative.”

Evans also accused Griffith of stealing the $1,000 worth of items in the car when he stole it.

“North Carolina is one of just a few jurisdictions in the United States where a private citizen can go to a magistrate and obtain a warrant on another private citizen,” Milliken continued. “That is what happened in this case.”

Evans filed the larceny charges on him on Jan. 24.
