Chicago Cubs fan runs onto field after Jake Arrieta throws no-hitter (Video)

A fan ran onto the field after Chicago Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta threw a no-hitter against the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday night.

The fan has been identified as Dylan Creesy. After the game, Creesy went onto the field and jumped around with the Cubs as they celebrated the win. Police escorted him off the diamond and charged him with criminal trespass for entering the field without permission, according to TMZ. He is still currently in custody and will be arraigned on Friday.

In the game Arrieta struck out six, walked four, hit two singles and scored a run in the Cubs' 16-0 victory. It’s the second time that he’s thrown a no-hitter in his career. He is 4-0 this season and has a 0.53 ERA in 16 starts dating back to Aug. 1, according to the Chicago Tribune. He is the first Cubs pitcher to throw no-hitters in consecutive seasons and is the third pitcher to throw multiple no-hitters in the Cubs' history.

"It feels different the second time. I was a little more relaxed as the game progressed,” Arrieta said, "Based on the way I threw the ball before the game started, I anticipated having to grind through some at-bats and some innings a little more than I did. I was able to get the ball in on left-handed hitters for some called strikes and then go below the strike zone when I needed to for some big swings and misses. You put it all together and have conviction with what you're throwing out there, and good things can happen."

The Cubs are 12-4 and lead the NL Central.
