Baseball player wins $10K and a year’s supply of beer (Video)

Former MLB player Brandon Laird won’t have to a make a beer run for the next year.

Laird currently plays in Japan for the Nippon Ham Fighters and when he hit a home run off a Kirin Beer sign in Tuesday night’s game against the Orix Buffaloes, he won the cash prize and a year’s stock of brews.

The way it works is that when batters hit an advertisement sign in the Tokyo Dome they win prizes, so it makes hitting a home run even more exciting.

Laird played with the Houston Astros in the majors as well as the New York Yankees.
