Maybe Disneyland is the happiest place on earth, but there is no place on TV that puts out more positive energy than the Food Network or the Cooking Channel, both owned by Scripps Networks Interactive.

Now, the challenge shows, even the gently-mean-spirited Cutthroat Kitchen, get high-ratings, but even that is done with a playful heart.  These networks may have a little bit of controversy from time to time, but their product is typically delivered by friendly and competent cooks and hosts. Reruns of shows long-gone even fill a DVR--The Best Thing I Ever Ate. Everyone on these networks is interesting, has their own point of view, and passes the beer test. Personalities like Duff Goldman, Michael Symon, Geoffrey Zakarian, Ina Garten, Jeff Mauro, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Guy Fieri, Tyler Florence, Debi Mazar, Mo Rocca, Emeril Lagasse—OK, so he left the network for Martha Stewart, but we’ve got nothing but love for him, and many more make this the place to be for positive, feel-good programming, that celebrates good food, friends and family.
