‘Big Brother 18’ recap: ‘An alliance begins to crumble as a third houseguest leaves the game'

The elegant Julie Chen welcomes us to this live episode of Big Brother where tonight either Bronte, Victor or Tiffany will be leaving the house. It looks like Paulie’s backdoor plan is nearly completed.

#ButFirst we go back to Day 20 in the house right after the Veto Meeting. Victor’s only play at this point is to try and convince his team and others that Tiffany is a greater threat. Good luck buddy. I think people want Tiffany out, just not right now.

Tiffany (Vanessa 2.0) continues to be paranoid throughout the house. She feels safe with the 8Pack even though she doesn’t trust Frank at all. She starts pitching ideas to the girls of the house that they should rally together. This seems to happen at some point every season. It probably won’t work especially when Bridgette tells Frank about Tiffany’s intentions. It seems that the Frank/Tiffany battle is coming soon.

It also appears that the major alliance in the house 8Pack is slowly starting to fall apart. Frank realizes Tiffany could blow up the entire alliance so he tells Paulie about it. Paulie is happy to know this and Frank slowly tells other members of the alliance his decision. Mama Day doesn’t approve and Zakiyah seems indifferent. Paulie wants to make a final five deal, Da’Vonne is devastated and can’t trust anyone. It basically seems that everyone is playing each other and that this alliance is about to go up in flames. This week’s HOH is critical.

It is time for the live vote and eviction. I still bet Victor is the one to leave tonight. The nominees do their usual speeches on why they should stay. In a nearly unanimous vote of 9-1, VICTOR is the third HG evicted from Big Brother. He seems a bit upset as he exits the house. Paul was the only one to send him a vote to stay. He talks with Julie and tells her he felt like a sitting duck in the house. I question his strategy of being so vocal and he regrets he might have told the truth too much. She tells him about the BattleBack twist and he is excited. I could see him winning his way back in the house.

It is time to crown the next HOH. It seems that the 8Pack alliance is falling apart so this HOH is pretty important. It is a tennis themed competition called “Kiss My Ace.” One person from each team serves the tennis ball on the court to get the highest number. The last HG standing is HOH and their team is safe for the week. I like these kinds of competitions. It is a very even comp. and it eventually comes down to the final four of Tiffany, Natalie, Paul, and Bridgette. One from each team. Tiffany is first out followed by Natalie. It is either going to be Bridgette or Paul for HOH. I’m ok with either one. Bridgette ends up bringing home HOH, the second straight for team Category4. I’m curious as to who she will target. Will what remains of the 8Pack finally feel the heat of the nomination block?

Who will Bridgette nominate for eviction? Who will win the BBRoadKill and secretly nominate for eviction?

Find out Sunday night at 8 p.m.!
