Beyonce takes home Best Video of the Year at 2016 MTV Video Music Awards

The MTV Video Music Awards were held Aug. 28 and in no surprise at all, Beyonce practically took home every single award that was handed out. In addition to winning Best Video of the Year for “Formation,” she also brought some special guests. Along with her insanely adorable daughter, Beyonce brought the mothers of shooting victims Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Eric Garner and Oscar Grant to the awards show.

It wasn’t just Beyonce who created a stir at the VMA’s. Britney Spears made her debut performance after being absent since 2007. In another treat of the night, Jimmy Fallon also appeared dressed as Ryan Lochte.
