'Power' season 3 episode 3: 'I Got This Thing On Lock'

Hello, my devoted Power fans! Episode three made its debut and boy was it an episode to talk about. We left off with Tommy, Tasha and Holly coming together to move weight in the streets. Tommy needed more supply on the streets and this was the perfect plan to keep up his hustle.

However, we found out that Holly had another plan up her sleeve. Holly just wanted to use Tasha as a hustling teacher and then dump her once she got the hang of things.

Holly also found out about Lobos and how he was going to kill her and Tommy if Ghost was not killed. We all saw that nerve racking scene when Tommy attempted to kill Ghost, but he just couldn't do it. When Holly found this out she comforted Tommy and told him that if he couldn't kill Ghost for himself, he should try to kill Ghost for her.

For Holly, it's not an option. It's a necessity. #PowerTV

I don't know about you guys, but Holly is No. 1 on my hit list. Tommy should know the rules: bros before hos. Even though Lobos is threatening your life to kill Ghost, you can't erase that bond between you and Ghost. Okay enough of me pouring my heart out to these fictional characters, lets get into this recap!

A Robbery Gone Completely Wrong

The first scene takes place in a corner store in Washington D.C. There is a teenage boy listening to his music while shopping in the snack isle of the store. Suddenly he hears a big commotion that interrupts his music. He walks out of the aisle to check and he sees another young man holding a gun to the cashier's head. The boy says, "What the f**k are you doing, we're not supposed to be doing this!" After hearing this it is assumed that these two know each other. The intruder yells back at his friend and tells him he is doing this because he needs money. The boy continues to yell stop and tries to get his friend to leave the store before they get in trouble. Meanwhile a cop car parks in front of the corner store and walks in. The officer walks in and both of young men put their hands up. She asks the cashier if he was the only one working in the shop and if he had already triggered the alarm. The cashier said that he had already triggered the alarm, which meant more cops were on their way. After hearing that, she ordered the intruder to shoot the cashier. Then she yelled at the two young men for doing a job without a plan and just as the intruder started to explain himself, she shot him as well. After shooting the intruder she told the young man to go home. The officer talked into her walkie talkie and said the intruder shot the store clerk, which caused her to have to shoot him. Yeah I know all of your jaws dropped within the first 60 seconds of this scene!

Guess Who's Still Alive: Starts with a "K" ends with an "N"

The officer makes her way home after dealing with that horrific event at the corner store. She really didn't have any remorse for what she did because she believed she was saving the young boy's life. Otherwise he wouldn've went to jail. After settling down after a long night she goes into a room to check on someone. She walks in the room and Kanan is laying on the bed in tremendous pain. He asks her for the medicine, but she will not give it to him until he explains to her how he got hurt. Later on in the episode we find out that the officer is Kanan's cousin. Her nickname is Jukebox and she found Kanan after he was almost burnt to death from the fire that Ghost started.

Tasha and Holly, friends?

Tasha and Holly were stopped by the police during one of their street hustling lessons. As the officer approached the car Holly got scared because she had a huge bag of money in the back seat. Tasha told her to calm down and play it cool. When the cop pulled up to ask why they were riding so fast, Holly thought of her own plan on her feet. She pretended Tasha was her Nanny and blamed the speeding on her trying to get to the kids on time. Tasha kept the plan going and started talking in a Jamaican accent that was believable to the officer, so he let them go. Tasha gave Holly her props for thinking so quick on her feet with that plan. Towards the middle of the episode these two started to become a lot more friendlier with one another.

Tariq Brings a Gun to School

James a.k.a. Ghost gets a call from his son's school and the principal tells him that his son brought a gun to school. Tasha and James go to the school to talk to the principal, who tells them that the gym teacher found the gun in his bag. The principal said that the gun was registered under an FBI Attorney by the name of Angela. This definitely shut James' mouth after he blamed Tasha for being the one with the gun. Tasha and James persuaded the principal into letting their son stay at the school, because money talks. Tasha told James that the kids would not be staying at Angela's house anymore, after that incident.

Kanan Comes Clean

Kanan became addicted to the medicine his cousin was giving him to get rid of his pain. He searched her whole house for the medication, but he could not find it. However, there was a reason that Jukebox was not going to give him anymore meds until he told her how he got hurt. She found out that Ghost had something to do with Kanan's brutal condition. Which caused her to ask what happened to Kanan's son Shawn. Kanan did not give her an answer the first time, but she started to assume that Ghost killed Shawn. He let her continue on with her assumption until he got completely fed up. Kanan finally came clean and told his cousin that he was the one who killed his own son. He told her that he killed Shawn because he chose Ghost over him. Jukebox told him that he had to do what he had to do, because Ghost raised Shawn. She said that it was Shawn's fault for turning his back on his family.

Tommy and Ghost Finally Meet

Tommy gets a text from Tariq that said he needed to talk to him. He told him about how he got in trouble at school and he really needed to talk to him. Holly tried to stop Tommy from going because she said that Tasha and James could handle their own son. However, Tommy still considered Tariq as family and since he needed help, he had to be there for him. As Tommy approaches the spot where Tariq told him to meet him at he is surprised to see Ghost show up instead. Ghost said he knew that if he pretended he was Tariq that Tommy would come. Tommy was infuriated at Ghost for playing with him like that, but Ghost said he really needed to talk to him. Ghost told Tommy that Lobos wanted him dead. Tommy played dumb like he didn't know, even though he was the one that was supposed to kill Ghost. Ghost said that he knew that Tommy was working for Lobos, but he told Tommy that he was being used. He asked Tommy if they could work together to take Lobos down. You know like old times Tommy and Ghost together. Tommy refused to believe that Ghost wanted to work with him again and he started to walk away. Before Tommy left, Ghost asked if Lobos was coming after him and Tommy said, "Goodbye Ghost" with a sinister look on his face.

Should Tommy and Ghost unite to defeat Lobos? Feel free to comment with your thoughts in the box below and don't forget to watch next week's episode Sunday at 9 p.m.
