'Power' season 3 finale: 'In My Best Interest'

Well Power fans,  it looks like season three has come to an end. Can you believe that it's already over? It feels like just yesterday when we waited and waited till the mid-summer premiere and were rooting for Tommy and Ghost to be best buds again, but now we've come to a close. I am going to miss talking to you guys about how much I can't stand Angela and all the other crazy things that happen in this show. I guess there's always next year, I know it hurts for me to say those words too. Waiting till next year is going to feel like a century but as we learned from past seasons, it will be worth the wait. Okay, let's not waist anytime on this finale because it left me speechless so without further ado, let's get into episode 10!

Ruiz is Dead

Greg Knox gets a call from the authorities and they tell him that Ruiz is dead. He makes his way to the crime scene and tries to find the slightest bit of evidence that might tell him who killed Ruiz. Knox goes inside Ruiz's car and takes the recording device that he planted off his jacket. He knew that it was the only evidence he needed in order to find out who killed Ruiz and Lobos.

Milan's Plan

Milan wanted Tommy to kill Ghost. Tommy pretended to agree, but he had another plan in mind. He was going to kill Milan on his terms, with the help of Ghost. Yes that's what I'm talking about plotting plans with his BFF,  just like old times.

Knox's Apartment

Ghost breaks into Knox's apartment to look for the recording device he planted on Ruiz. Little did Ghost know, Knox had the tape with him and he was already listening to it at a friend's house Ghost walks into Knox's room and sees his entire investigation, which made him realize that Knox was after him and Tommy. He wanted them both to go to jail for the Lobos' murder. Suddenly Angela walks into the house while Ghost is still inside. He waits for her to go into the bathroom and then he quickly sneaks outside the window.

Knox has his Case

Knox listens to the tape and hears Tommy admit that he and Ghost killed Lobos. He gets excited and believes that this is the proof he needs to end the case. However, his friend tells him that there was no proof that Ghost was James St. Patrick and that he could get in trouble recording people illegally and endangering Ruiz.

Knox took that into consideration, but believed that he could get Ghost or Tommy to flip and reveal themselves. Knox approached James and told him that he knew everything about Lobos' death. James played it cool as if he had no involvement with the murder and denied that his name was Ghost. Knox offered to let him off the hook if he gave up Angela to the police. Even with a deal like that, James still refused to give any information. Before Knox left he warned James that he shouldn't trust Angela and that she'd turn on James, like she turned on him. Oh how I wish that he listened to him.

Knox Finds Out Too Late

Knox calls the Mexican authorities to see if agent Miguel (a.k.a. Mike, a.k.a. the crooked agent who was working for Lobos) called in for the tip on Lobos a couple episodes back. He was able to speak to someone, but they weren't able to get a hold of the records he was asking for but they told him they would call him back. In the meantime Knox went to visit agent Mike to tell him everything he had on the Lobos case. Once he got to Mike's house he told him that the leak was Angela. He explained to him that she had been working as an inside man for Ghost and that he and Tommy Egan killed Lobos. During his conversation with Mike he gets a phone call, its Mexican authorities. They tell him that no one by the name of Miguel called in for a tip on Lobos, in fact his name wasn't in the records at all. And that's when it hit Knox. MIKE WAS THE LEAK. When he got off the phone he tried to play it cool so that Mike wouldn't catch on. However, that didn't last very long. Mike asked Greg who called him on the phone and he told him it was the Mexican authorities. Greg told him that they had no record of him calling in for the tip on Lobos. Mike came clean and told Greg that he had no choice, but to work with Lobos because he threatened to kill his family. Greg tells him that he had to turn him into the authorities for being the leak. Suddenly, Mike pulls a gun out on Greg. He tries to calm him down and tell him that he can make everything run smoothly for him, but Mike doesn't trust him and shootsGreg to death. You know, I knew Greg was going to die this season but this one's a real shocker!

A lot is Happening Right Now

Kanan asks Tariq to give a mysterious package to one of his friends. He delivers the package to a man in an alley way and discovers that it's a gun. The man ends up putting Tariq in hand cuffs and arresting him. He takes him in a cop car where he meets Jukebox. She threatens to take Tariq to jail if he doesn't tell her who the gun belonged to. Tariq would not budge, so she acted as if she was going to take him to jail. He soon finds out that Jukebox and the man in the alley were friends of Kanan and they were just testing him to see if he would snitch. Meanwhile, the investigators find the phone that was used to call Lobos on agent Knox. They pin him as the leak that was giving information to Lobos, even though we know it was Mike.

Next, Angela finds finger prints on the window of agent Knox's apartment. She takes the finger prints in to identify who they belong to. Oh no this can't be good, we know whose hand prints are on that window!

Poor Tariq

After his scared-straight debacle, Jukebox and Kanan take Tariq back to their house. He starts to drink the lean (a.k.a. cough medicine and sprite) and he tells her that the last batch made him feel kind of funny. All of a sudden Tariq knocks out. Kanan takes a picture of him laying unconscious on the couch and sends it with a message that says, "If you want him back you have to pay." Tasha looked at the photo in horror and immediately called Ghost.

Business is Handled

James signs the contract with Karan Bassett and now he will finally be able to expand club Truth. Meanwhile, Milan tries to threaten Ghost and tell him that it was his last day to be alive. To his surprise, Ghost already has his men handling Milan's men so that they wouldn't try any fast moves. He brought Milan outside where Tommy was waiting for him with a gun. Tommy and Ghost put Milan in the car and take him to the warehouse. Even though he was about to die, Milan didn't seen surprised or upset that he was set up by Ghost and Tommy. Which makes me wonder if he had anything up his sleeve that they didn't know about. I guess we'll find out in season four. Tommy and Ghost both shot Milan together. After he was dead they shook hands and parted ways. Everything was over. Tommy and Ghost were friends, Ghost was out of the game, Tommy was in charge of the streets and James had his club back. It seemed like everything was going perfect ... but it wasn't. One of Milan's men who now worked for Tommy asked him if Ghost knew that they were going to continue to sell drugs out of his club. Tommy said no, but he'd find out soon enough. Uh oh, they're already setting up season four to go badly and it didn't even start!

Love Turned its Back

James walks back into his club feeling like he has finally got his life back, but then he spots Angela. He rushes to the lower level of the club to talk to her. He kisses her face and starts to talk to her, but she stops him and pulls out handcuffs. Angela arrests him for the murder of agent Greg Knox. The finale ends with James walking out of his club in handcuffs while cameras flash in his face. Angela definitely pulled a fast one on him.

She's definitely #1 on my hit list, but she should pray that she's not #1 on Ghost's list.

Well I guess we'll find out just how much Ghost loves Angela now that she betrayed him. What will Tommy do? How is Tasha going to get Tariq back? Will Ghost get out of jail? Will Angela finally die? So many questions, but we won't know till next season. It was a pleasure chatting with you this season, until we meet again!

Since we are mourning the end of a great season,

here's a special send off from Tasha a.k.a. Naturi Naughton to lift your spirits.

See you next season!
