Sarah Paulson gets Marcia Clark's name etched on her Emmy

In the FX miniseries The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story, Sarah Paulson played lead prosecutor Marcia Clark and when the actress got her nomination and invite to the Emmys she brought the woman she portrayed with her, but that's not all.

Paulson not only brought Clark as her date to the ceremony, she also thanked her in her speech when she won for Best Actress in a Limited Series or a Television Movie.

The American Horror Story star praised the attorney for dedicating her life “to righting an unconscionable wrong” and apologized for any judgement that she and other Americans may have passed on her during the O.J. Simpson murder trial.

To top off the night the Los Angeles Times noted that Paulson had Ms. Clark's name etched with her own on the Emmy trophy.

"It was an amazing night," the former prosecutor said. "I'm so glad I could share it with her."
