Trailer Park: ‘Storks’ hope to deliver a box office hit

It’s a drama and adventure filled weekend with the new films entering the box office. While outlaws attempt to deliver justice, storks are delivering babies as a classic western is retold and a new animated film hits theaters.

A stork, on the verge of a promotion at a package delivery plant, unintentionally starts up the old baby machine in Storks. After accidentally creating a baby, he and his human friend rush to deliver the child to its parents before his boss finds out about the slip up.  The PG animated adventure comedy features the voices of Andy Samberg, Jennifer Aniston, Kelsey Grammer, Katie Crown, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, Danny Trejo and Ty Burrell.  The family film plays for one hour and 32 minutes.

A town takes an unconventional approach to protect themselves from a corrupt businessman in The Magnificent Seven.  They enlist the help of seven outlaws to safeguard them in the battle for their home.  Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D'Onofrio and Peter Sarsgaard star in the two hour and 12-minute remake of the classic story. The western adventure is rated PG-13.

A college student attempts to join his brother’s fraternity in Goat.  He suffers thorough the rituals of hazing in order to join the brotherhood with the hopes of starting anew and making friends. The one hour and 36-minute drama stars Nick Jonas, James Franco and Ben Schnetzer.  The limited released film is rated R for violence, sex, nudity, language and drugs.

A talented seamstress, who years ago was rejected by her neighbors, heads back to her hometown in The Dressmaker.  She starts out seeking revenge from those that wronged her but ends up falling in love with a resident and using her sewing skills to change the lives of those she dresses. Kate Winslet and Liam Hemsworth star in the limited-released drama.  The one hour and 58-minute film is based on Rosalie Ham’s novel.  It’s rated R for language and violence.

There's more drama and adventure coming to theaters next week with Mark Wahlberg's Deepwater Horizon and Tim Burton's Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children make their debut on Sept. 30.
