‘Blunt Talk’ recap episode 203: ‘Your Therapist and His Pussy Are Here’

On this episode, Walter begins his investigation into the drought in LA and Celia wants a break from her relationship with Jim.

Walter finds out from the police that Cornelia is at the hospital. She’s been attacked, but she’s conscious. Walter spots Cornelia’s stalker outside of her room but doesn’t recognize him. Harry waits while Walter goes in. He sees a clown entertaining children in the waiting room.

Cornelia says she was set up. Another man enters her room who she introduces as Tony. He’s her boyfriend. He flew into town when he heard she was in the hospital. Cornelia apologizes for not telling Walter sooner. She says she’s giving up and going back to England the next day. This is terrible news for Walter.

Martin and Shelly are looking at gifs online of Celia rejecting Jim. Shelly hopes they don’t get married because she still wants to sleep with Celia. Martin flirts with Shelly, but she tells him to shut up. Is there any possibility they might hook up in the future?


Rosalie tells Bob that Walter won’t put Celia and Jim on the air to discuss their private affairs. Bob insists that lonely hearts across America need the story. He says if Walter gives her a hard time, to send him his way.

Walter is heartbroken. Harry talks him up, but Walter says he was never good enough for her. He calls Vivian to talk. Is it a good idea?

Celia asks Jim for space. He’s incredibly upset, but she needs to gain some perspective. She says it’s the only way to hold onto their relationship. Who’s rooting for these two? I know I am.

Walter asks Vivian what he’s lacking. She says it wasn’t any one thing. She just knew she wasn’t the one for him. I guess Walter didn’t get the information he was looking for.

Rosalie tells Walter she has three pieces of bad news. They have to bump Duncan Adler again due to a jail lockdown, the lawyers are telling them they can’t fight the porn film based on the show and Bob wants Jim and Celia on air to discuss the marriage proposal.

Celia is in the bathroom crying and Shelly consoles her. Shelly tells her that Jim will survive. He’s stronger than they give him credit for. Suddenly Jim runs across the office with a cart full of dollar store items. Is he hoarding again?

Walter tells Bob he doesn’t want to cover the Jim and Celia story. Bob threatens to give the story to his competition, which changes Walter’s mind.

Jim spies on Celia from his office window. He put cupcakes on her desk and she throws them out. Martin and Shelly hear Jim crying, but try to ignore it. Martin hits on Shelly again only to get shot down.

Walter talks to his therapist who has brought his cat along again. Walter says he’s loved too much or too little. The doctor suddenly has a heart attack and has to be wheeled out on a stretcher. Rosalie says Walter is killing off all of his Jewish shrinks.

Jim screams from the other room. They find him on the floor hugging a pillow surrounded by his dollar store stash. He’s definitely hoarding. Walter tells him he understands the sting of rejection, but they can’t control someone else’s heart. He tells Jim he’ll be okay.

Jim and Celia discuss their break on the air but send the focus back to Walter before Jim breaks down again. How will he make it through this?

Rosalie and Walter decide to each stay with Jim or Celia that night to help them through their issues. Rosalie asks Walter if he’s stable. He says he’s unglued. He wants to help Cornelia. Rosalie tells him he should do it, but expect nothing in return. Can Walter accept that they’re over?


Harry reads Jim a bedtime story and he and Sylvia tuck him in. Will he be any better in the morning?

Rosalie sings while Celia plays the piano. They’re both drunk and Celia’s thinking of Jim. Jim seems to hear her singing in his sleep even though she’s across town.

Walter goes to see Cornelia and says he needs to help. He needs to be a journalist. She gives him a jump drive with her colleague’s files. When he takes the elevator, a clown gets on with him and asks for the lobby. Is there something sinister about him?
