The body of Lisa Marie Naegle, a former reality TV show contestant, was found in a shallow grave in the murder suspect’s backyard.
A police spokesman, Sal Ramirez said in a statement, “We can confirm a body which we believe is Lisa Marie was discovered in a shallow grave at the suspect’s home. The detectives strongly believe it is her.”
The Los Angeles Times confirms that the suspect Jackie Jerome Rogers has been arrested by the LAPD and is being held in lieu of $2 million bail. It is unclear whether or not he has an attorney.
Naegle, 36, was a contestant in 2010 E! reality show Bridalplasty. She was reported missing by her husband on Monday, Dec. 19, after failing to return home from a birthday party on Saturday night. Her husband last spoke to her early Sunday morning, when Naegle stated that she would be home after grabbing a bite to eat.
Police followed evidence from surveillance footage depicting Naegle entering an SUV owned by Rogers. After questioning Rogers, police later found Naegle’s body in the backyard of a home owned by the Rogers family.
