George Michael’s partner, Fadi Fawaz, who said he found the singer dead in bed on Christmas morning, is now being questioned by police.
According to the Daily Mail, Fawaz is being interviewed by local authorities about the late artist’ death and the circumstances surrounding it. The publication noted that he is being questioned along with anyone else who may have visited Michael’s Oxfordshire mansion that same morning. Law enforcement officials are hoping to talk to as many people as possible to try and learn if the “Faith” singer’s death had anything to do with drugs.
Fawaz’s name was in the headlines earlier this week after his Twitter account was reportedly hacked with some tweets about Michael being suicidal.
“My Twitter account has been hacked and closed,” he told the Mirror in statement. “It’s a bit scary to be honest. I did not send those tweets. I woke up at 11:30am to the news. I am not going to worry about these things.”
As we reported, Michael passed away at the age of 53 from apparent heart failure, however, the initial autopsy performed was “inconclusive.”
