Kylie Jenner's makeup line raises half a million dollars for children's charity

Kylie Jenner has raised close to a half a million dollars for the children's charity Smile Train with her lip kit shade, Smile.

It's known that Jenner has been widely successful with her makeup line Kylie Cosmetics, but she hasn't kept all the profits for herself. Jenner revealed a lip kit shade called Smile, a pale pink matte lipstick, in which all proceeds would be donated to Smile Train, a children's charity providing surgical reconstruction treatment to children born with cleft palates.

Jenner released the new shade on World Smile Day, back on the first Friday of October and it was met with massive success. The 19 year-old cosmetic guru then personally presented a check of $159, 900 to the Smile Train. Because Smile was so popular it sold out almost immediately and Jenner has since restocked and re-launched her Smile campaign, donating another $300,000 to the charity.

Smile Train's CEO, Susannah Shafer, spoke to PEOPLE about the reality-star's giving contributions.

"Smile Train has been aware of Kylie's generous heart and her commitment to helping children through...her many visits to children's hospitals," Shafer said.

Jenner's gracious donations to Smile Train will pay for 1,800 surgeries for children who won't be charged a dime for receiving medical treatment. That's something worth smiling about!
