Simon goes home to find an open bottle of vodka. Has his mother hurt herself? He calls Clary to tell her his mother is missing. She tells him to grab something important to his mother so she can track her. Can they find her before she does any damage to herself?

Luke gets to the bar and the wolves are itching for a fight. Luke says if Jace is really working for Valentine, he’ll kill him himself. How can Jace prove his innocence?

Aldertree wants to keep Alec in the Institute instead of portalling to Idris for additional care. Meanwhile, Alec is still dreaming of getting his parabatai with Jace.

Jace is badly wounded and Maya is after him. A human finds him and calls 911 before she can hurt him further. At the hospital, he tells the nurse he needs to get to his brother, but they sedate him.

Clary tries to convince Simon to tell his mother the truth, but he’s afraid. Clary feels her presence and they take off running.

Alec is talking in his sleep, but doesn’t wake up. The guard at the door tells Magnus he should leave because he’s not helping. Magnus attacks him instead but Izzy stops him from doing much damage.

Luke and Maya come to the hospital and find Jace’s bed empty. As Jace argues with a doctor to leave, Maya finds him and shifts. Will she really attack in a building full of people? She chases Jace down the hallway. Jocelyn finds him in the stairwell and locks the wolf out.

Jocelyn offers to take him back to Alec. Jace doesn’t want her help. He thinks the Clave will take him. He’s not wrong. He leaves alone.
