Elle King has finally confirmed her marriage to Andrew “Fergie” Ferguson and now their separation via social media as new report claims that he was arrested for domestic violence and allegedly threatening her last month.
After the singer, who is Rob Schneider’s daughter, shared an emotional post about the split on Monday, May 15, TMZ reported that Ferguson was arrested in April 23 for felony domestic violence.

Insiders told the media outlet that Ferguson choked King, threw her down onto the bed and threatened her allegedly saying, “I’m gonna f**king kill you.” The law enforcement sources also said that police did find evidence of violence from marks on King’s arms and neck. Ferguson’s explanation was that the marks were from him grabbing her to stop her from hitting her head against the wall.
The “Ex’s and Oh’s” artist decided she did not want to press charges though and therefore the District Attorney’s Office did not continue with the case.
This news comes just a few days after King’s Instagram post in which she announced their split. It read in part, “My heart is broken. My soul aches. I am lost. He is the greatest love of my life. As we separate, and attempt to find our footing through life, all I can hope for us is that we both find happiness within ourselves. I love you. You’ll always have my heart. You’ll always be my first husband.”
She then asked fans to be “respectful of our emotions and our space during this time” adding, “Everybody thought I lost my mind and I did. So, be kind.”

Rumors of their split have been swirling for some time after King shared a post in March with the caption “single ladies” along with a middle finger emoji. In April, she indicated that there was trouble again when she posted a video of her crying with her dog and the began the caption, “Been a really rough and insane start to this year.”
As we previously noted, she also said she “skipped out” on her wedding for an Eagles of Death Metal concert.
Their alleged fight was just a few days after that post.
