Stephen Colbert facing Twitter backlash after blasting Donald Trump in opening monologue (Video)

Stephen Colbert is still feeling the wrath of Twitter after his opening monologue on Monday, May 1, in which he slammed President Donald Trump over his interview on Face The Nation as some are calling one joke in particular "homophobic."

The Late Show host dragged the president in his opening because of how Trump treated fellow CBS employee John Dickerson and abruptly ended their interview when pressed about those baseless wiretap claims.

"Mr. Trump, your presidency? I love your presidency. I call it 'Disgrace the Nation,'" Colbert began. "You're not the POTUS, you're the BLOTUS. You're the glutton with the button. You're a regular Gorge Washington. You're the presi-dunce, but you're turning into a real pr**k-tator.

"Sir, you attract more skinheads than free Rogaine. You have more people marching against you than cancer. You talk like a sign language gorilla that got hit in the head."

While many praised the monologue roast and argued that the comedian was just rattling off insult jokes to try make people laugh or exercising his free speech of how he feels about Trump, his last line rubbed some people the wrong way when he said, "In fact, the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin’s c**k holster."

That line sparked the Twitter hashtag #FireColbert and had social media users saying that's when he went too far with the joke.

So far neither CBS nor Colbert have commented on the situation.
