'New Mutants' logo revealed by director Josh Boone

Director Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) took to his Instagram account to show off the first logo for the upcoming Fox film X-Men: The New Mutants:

Last week shooting #newmutants

The logo is pretty simple and stays true to X-Men form — featuring black and white wording that reads “The New Mutants” with blood spattered against it, as well as a lone figure off to the right side, standing beyond a trail of blood and starring out into the open night sky. This feels especially appropriate for New Mutants as, via an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Boone describes the upcoming film as a “full-fledged horror movie set within the X-Men universe.”

Boone's Instagram post also revealed that they are in the final week of shooting X-Men: The New Mutants, which means we might not have to wait much longer for a teaser trailer.

This is just one of the several upcoming X-Men projects that Fox has on their slate. X-Men: Dark Phoenix — a sequel to 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse — is set to be released in November of 2018 and Deadpool 2 will come out June of 2018 as well. Their television properties are in full swing too — The Gifted will premiere this October, and the second season of Legion (a show that you all should be watching) is also on its way.
