2. They’ve found a renewed sense of purpose

Before embarking on the quest to make and record Signs of Light, the band took some time off and went their separate ways. In 2014 they parted, all traveling to different areas of the world to do some self-reflecting. Russell traveled to Haiti and began working with a non-profit organization called Artists For Peace And Justice. “When I found out we were going to have a significant amount of time off, I saw it as an opportunity to touch base again,” Russell writes on the band’s website. “To listen to what other people were saying and what they were going through. I really wanted to make sure that I reconnected with a world that was starting to feel farther and farther away.”
