Cobie Smulders, or to go by her full name, Jacoba Francisca Maria Smulders, was born April 3, 1982 in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia. She has been acting since 2002, but didn’t truly get a big break until she earned a recurring role on the Showtime series The L Word.
After that show had run its course, Smulders landed her biggest role to date, as the also Canadian, Robin Scherbatsky and her persona, Robin Sparkles. She has been portraying this role since 2005 and will continue till the show ends in 2014. While on ‘Mother she has gotten the opportunity to do another thing that she loves, singing. She has performed many songs on the show as her persona, Robin Sparkles, including the hits, “Lets Go to the Mall”, “Sandcastles in the Sand”, “The Beaver Song”, and more.
In 2012, Smulders was given the role of Maria Hill in the highly successful superhero film, The Avengers. This was of course, her biggest film role to date, making bit parts in smaller films over the length of her career.
In 2009, she met the love of her life and soon to be husband and father of her child, Taren Killim. They married in 2012 and have a daughter together.
