Emily VanCamp reprising 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' role in 'Civil War'

Emily VanCamp is joining the growing cast of Captain America: Civil War, which is probably going to have to be three hours long to give everyone some screentime. The former Revenge star will reprise her role from The Winter Soldier.

The news was confirmed by Deadline, which reports that she will play Agent 13/Kate/Sharon Carter once again. VanCamp was only in The Winter Soldier briefly, playing Cap’s neighbor and a possible love interest.

VanCamp joins an already packed cast, which just added Martin Freeman earlier this week. Daniel Bruhl is also joining the cast, reportedly as the villain Baron Zemo. The new Spider-Man, who has yet to be cast, and The Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) will also make their Marvel Cinematic Universe debut.

Familiar MCU faces returning for Civil War include Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Elizabeth Olsen and Jeremy Renner. Joe and Anthony Russo, who directed The Winter Soldier and will direct the Avengers: Infinity War movies, are directing Civil War.

Cap’s third solo movie hits theaters on May 6, 2016.

The last episode of VanCamp’s Revenge airs this Sunday on ABC. She will next be seen on the big screen in The Girl In The Book, out in June.
