Jackie Chan is becoming a manager for a pop music band, JJCC

Jackie Chan, known best for his martial arts skills on the big screen,will become the manager for the band, called JJCC.

According to the Associated Press, Sha-sha Lee, CEO of the Jackie Chan Group South Korea, said that Chan is carrying out all everyday activities of a music manager, including auditioning band members and personally overseeing management of the group.

This is Jackie Chan’s first attempt to manage a K-pop band. The management company added that JJCC will "exhibit a charm that is very different from other idol groups," according to Channel News Asia.

Chan has decided that the band will have five members, including one Chinese member and four Korean members. All of them sing, dance, and rap, and they might join Chan in appearing in films with him in the future. Chan was himself a singer in his early career. He learned singing, acting, and martial arts at the China Drama Academy before working in the movie industry.

Chan, 59, won the Lifetime Achievement Award in 1993 at the Asia-Pacific Film Festival and the Innovator Award at the American Choreography Awards in 2002.
