Michael Lohan

Michael Lohan is the father of Lindsay Lohan and Ali Lohan, and the ex-husband of their mother Dina Lohan. He has been involved in numerous scandals and legal issues.

Michael Lohan has been in rehabilitation treatment for alcoholism since 1982 and has had cocaine addictions as well. His relationship with tabloid reporter Kate Major was depicted on the fifth season of VH1's Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.

Much of the conflict in Michael Lohan's life began when Lindsay Lohan became a movie star. He insisted that her career should be managed by professionals, not the members of ex Dina's family, whom he described as "hangers-on." Since then, tensions between the family members have been apparent and publicly scrutinized at times.

As of 2011, Michael Lohan lives in West Hollywood, California.
