Nicholas Caradoc Hoult, born December 7, 1989, is an English actor and model. He was born in Wokingham, Berkshire, where he attended Ranelagh School. He was first spotted at the age of three, sitting in the audience with his mother at a play. The director noticed him and suggested that he try out for one. At the age of 7, he made his professional debut in Intimate Relations and worked primarily in television.

Hoult is widely known for his role as Tony Stonem on British digital television channel E4 in the TV drama Skins. Hoult won the Monte Carlo TV Festival Award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series for the role.

Along with his acting career, Hoult has a history as a male model, and even replaced Jon Kortajarena as the face of Tom Ford eye-wear for the spring of 2010.

Hoult began dating American actress Jennifer Lawrence in 2011, after meeting on the set of X-Men: First Class, where they starred together as the mutants Hank McCoy/Beast and Raven Darkholme/Mystique, respectively. It was rumored that the couple broke up in January of 2013, though it has not been confirmed.

Recently, Hoult has starred in the feature Warm Bodies as R, and Jack in Jack the Giant Slayer, which is set to premiere later this year. He is also expected to reprise his role as Beast in the X-Men franchise in 2014.
