Sarah Jessica Parker is an actress and producer who is best known for her role as Carrie Bradshow on the hit HBO series Sex and the City.
Before winning two Emmy Awards for Sex and the City, Parker began her acting career as a teenage lead in CBS’ Square Pegs. The show lasted one season. Throughout the 1980s, she was cast in Footloose and had the leading role in Girls Just Wanna have Fun.
In 1997, Parker married actor Matthew Broderick. The two live in New York City with their three children.
In 1998, Sex and the City creator Darren Star casted Parker as the leading role for his new HBO series. The show lasted for six successful seasons and ended in 2006. Parker has stated that she will never again do another television series.
In 2008, Parker starred in the popular Sex and the City movie. In 2010, she again played Bradshaw in Sex and the City 2.
After Sex and the City, Parker took on other roles in movie like The Family Stone and Failure to Launch.
More recently, Parker has been focused on her fragrance line, as well as her fashion line, “Bitten.”
