Zoe Saldana

Zoe Saldana is an American actress who broke through with her roles in Center Stage and Crossroads. Other attention has been earned for various roles including Anamania in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Star Trek’s Uhura and Neytiri from Avatar. She is currently reprising her role of Uhura for the upcoming Star Trek Into Darkness. More recent work include a romantic comedy, The Heart Specialist, being the lead for the action film Colombiana and the drama The Woods .

Having been born in New Jersey to a Dominican father and Puerto Rican mother, she speaks both Spanish and English. She also lived in the Dominican Republic with her mother after the death of her father. She moved to Queens, New York after her sophomore year in high school. Before her role in Center Stage, Saldana performed with FACES theater group in Brooklyn and gained exposure for an appearance in Law & Order.

Previously, Saldana had been engaged to Keith Britton, an actor who was also the CEO of My Fashion Database. However, they ended their relationship in 2011. Since then, she has periodically been seeing Bradley Cooper but it appears that they have split again recently.
