Edie Brickell And The New Bohemians

Edie Brickell & the New Bohemians are an alt-rock band that debuted in 1988 with the album "Shooting Rubberbands at the Stars". It was a critical and commercial success, most popularly known by the smash hit "What I Am". With the release of their first studio album in 16 years, "Stranger Things" represents the sound of a longtime band just being itself.

A decade and a half has passed since the seemingly overnight success, and now Edie Brickell & New Bohemians are pleased to return to where they began, with no lingering ill thoughts about the past. As Brickell, who has also released two albums under her own name, puts it, “I don’t believe in glory days. I don’t measure my life by a hit. I still have stuff inside that I want to express and I feel lucky to have an outlet and friends to do it with.”

Over the years, The New Bohemians have released many compilations and a live album, and have recorded some new material as a short-lived band named Slip.

Lead singer Edie Brickell married singer/songwriter Paul Simon in 1992. They have three children.
