Emily quits everything to look after her mother after she is diagnosted with breast cancer.
When her mother is diagnosed with cancer, Emily Rhode ditches her boyfriend and legal career to take care of her mother. She also reconciles with her estranged father, and goes to work for him as a receptionist at his law firm.
Her sister is pregnant and wants nothing to do with their father. Her mother is also not too pleased that he is back in Emily's life. Emily also sees a shrink once or twice a week and thinks she is in love with him.
I enjoyed reading this book. If anything, just to see how Emily's life turns out. It's not the greatest book I've read, but it is definitely a good summer read on the beach.
