Cat Nap (A Midnight Louie Mystery)
by Carole Nelson Douglas
A good mystery series about a cat and a woman who helps solve crimes.
This book is unlike any I have read. It is the first book in a lovable series about a woman and a cat that team up and solve mysteries. Yes that's right, a cat.
Midnight Louie is his name and solving crime is his game. He is an actual character in this book. Every so often there is a chapter about him. He thinks, he roams, he sleuths. He comes and goes as he pleases. He is not domesticated.
Temple Barr is the Woman who helps solve this crime. But she, of course, has help from Midnight Louie, even though he can't talk. Temple is working as a P.R., at a book convention, when she stumbles onto a body. She was actually chasing Midnight Louie, when she found the body. So now Temple and Midnight Louie are involved in this. They must work together to solve this crime before the convention is over.
