Thackery T. Lambshead Pocket Guide to Eccentric & Discredited Diseases

by Multiple

The best guide to imaginary diseases ever compiled!

The Lambshead Pocket Guide is the largest known compendium made up entirely of imaginary diseases. Each entry is carefully listed with the type of ailment, Latin name, country of origin, symptoms, history, cured, submitting party and any cross reference listings. Entries also include helpful (and completely deranged) illustrations. There are more than a four dozen different contributing Doctors (comedians...) to lend an air of authority to this collective.

With diseases such as Ballistic Organ Syndrome, Fruiting Body Syndrome, Mongolian Death Worm Infestation, Poetic Lassitude, The Malady of Ghostly Cities, Postal Carriers’ Brain Fluke Syndrome and Twentieth Century Chronoshock, the guide is sure to delight hypochondriacs and twisted minds everywhere! The volume also includes reminiscences from Dr.s Michael Cisco, Jeffery Thomas, Xue-Chu Wang, Rachel Pollack, Queenie Bishop, Stepan Chapman, Richard Calder, R.F. Wexler; Autopsy — Examples from Prior Edition; and biographical data.

Every entry in this hilarious guide is worth reading. There is no real reason this book should exist, except to entertain. And it does, in spades. Worthwhile for anyone with a dark wit.
