Miami it's Murder- A Britt Montero novel

I am happy to have discovered another excellent female author, one that is similar to Sue Grafton.

This book is about a news reporter named Britt Montero. She is single, gutsy, and dedicated to her job. She may be just a bit too dedicated, when she chooses her job over love. Britt Montero is not just a news reporter, she also seems to be a crime solving news reporter. She is always on the move, trying to get the story.

The story she is working on is the Downtown Rapist. She is working very hard on this case, but then it becomes personal, when the rapist contacts Britt, more than once. He has been writing her these letters, that she thought were from some crazy fan, and not some crazy rapist.

She may be a little freaked out, but that won't stop Britt. She is still determined to stop this guy, and write an amazing piece about it. Even though her friends, and local police warn her to stop writing about the rapist.

While she is working on this case, another one pops up, and she must also try to solve this one. This one is about an old cold case 22 years ago. She feels angry that the guy got away with killing a little child 22 years ago. The major suspect in that case is now running in politics. Britt is furious about this and is determined to prove that he was the killer and stop his political campaign.

Britt sure is busy in this second novel in the series. She actually has three news pieces she is working on. It sure keeps her busy, but she does find the time to go on a date with a captain on a cruise ship.
