What do you do when you realize your life isn't turning out the way you had planned? Claudia Parr is a 34-year-old copy editor, secure in her job and married to her soul mate Ben. What seemed like the perfect marriage abruptly came to a halt when Ben reneged on a promise they both made before tying the knot, he wanted a baby. Children were not in Claudia's plan, they never were, and the issue was non-negotiable. Wanting different things out of life, Claudia and Ben get divorced and do their best, which at times seems like it's working, of getting on with their lives. It's not till the end of the book that these two characters realize how deeply in love they still are and will do anything just to be together. While neither of their feelings have changed, their desires aren't as great if they can't have each other.

A heart warming book that is sure to touch many couples. The author does a fantastic job of showing her readers it's OK to feel a certain way even if it's against the "norm" of society. It's a story about the power of love and the sacrifices one will or will not make for it.
