A Touch of Grace
by Linda Goodnight
Whow - homeless, children of night, lost brothers, and more
Whow -- is my total overall opinion of this book. It grips you from page one and holds you to the end. It twists and turns, and about the time you think you know what is happening -- a change. I loved it.
Ian Carpenter is a preacher at a mission where people of the street can go to get help. He isn't exactly popular all the time with media, etc. He never realizes that his love for this type of work results from something from his past.
Then appears Gretchen Barker, a news lady, who can be a barracuda. Her sister has been found dead outside the mission. No one would expect, when she starts to investigate, how the events will unfold that bring her and Ian together.
Ian later finds out he is adopted and has a long lost brother and thinks one is dead. But the end leaves you wanting to run right out and buy the next book to find out something I'll leave you in suspense about.
Ian is shocked when he learns about his past and has a hard time coming to grips with it.
What I especially like is this story actually shows you how events in your life make you what you are.
