Heroes: Saving Charlie: A Novel
I was worried in writing this review that I would be stuck trying to avoid spoilers. Right up front, I'll tell you the spoilers. We learn about Hiro and Charlie's previous love lives. That's about it. Okay, also we see four additional heroes from the series, but no spoilers there. That said, you might think I present it as a negative. Au contraire. The book is an expansion of the television show. Basically it starts off at roughly the time Hiro jumps back in time to date Charlie and ends at her death. The main core of the book, as the title implies is their relationship. Through the book we expand a bit on the nature, attitude and personality of both Hiro and Charlie. By the end of the book you'll love Charlie so much yourself, you'll be driven to anger that the character died.Simply put, it's extremely well written and just what you'd expect from the geniuses over at Heroes. For the average reader I'm sure it works, but for the Heroes addict it's basically heroin for your addiction.
