So much has been written about the September 11th tragedy, do we reallyneed one more book to retell the tale and recount life? Yes. Having justcompleted another 9/11 book, I though I might just skim through this one,but Jennifer Sands weaves the journey of her husband's short life and herpersonal aftermath with such ease, that I found myself reading every word.Jim Sands worked on the 103rd flood of Tower 1 in the World Trade Center. To most, I'm sure he was an ordinary man, but I'm also certain to most whoknew him well he was extraordinary. Like thousands of others, he went to workon the infamous day and he never returned home.

There are so many profound lessons to be learned from this event and hiswife Jennifer carries us along on her discovery road. Though the subjectmatter is unquestionably sad, it is at the same time uplifting, inspirational and hopeful.

Ms. Sands quotes Abraham Lincoln, "Sorrows comes to all...perfect reliefis not possible, except with time. You cannot now realize that you will everfeel better... and yet you are sure to be happy again." Each of us may nothave lost a loved one in the World Trade Center, but most of us can unfortunatelyrelate to tragedy, loss and sorrow in one way or another.A tempered Faith is a love story culminating in one woman's journey - aspiritual journey that stumbles upon many deep and profound truths about life and its meaning.
