Some people look at a Mac with a look of utter confusion and fear. For those people, Macs for Dummies was written. Like most of the Dummies books, this one provides concise and easy-to-read instructions for the average user on the basic and advanced techniques and uses for the Mac computer.
But don’t expect to be bored to tears. Macs for Dummies provides all the information you need while adding witty comments along the way. It makes learning “nerd-speak” enjoyable. And when you’re finished? It’s pretty much guaranteed that you’ll be thoroughly sufficient on whatever Mac you own, whether it’s the Macbook, iMac, Mac Pro, etc, etc.
The book is broken down into many sections. Each section is broken down into many parts. So just in case you’re not so keen on reading through a how-to manual, it’s quick and easy to flip to the area of question. Whether it’s an inquiry about how to use wireless Internet, or perhaps something a bit more high-tech like creating a podcast, it’s all in the book. It provides information for all skill levels, whether you’re a Mac genius looking to brush up on a few techniques, or if you’ve recently converted from PC and barely know how to turn a Mac on. This book is there for you.
I’m not one for buying how-to books. I pretty much assume that if I can’t figure it out within a few days or so, it’s not worth it. But Macs for Dummies changed my mind. It opened my eyes to exactly how much stuff there is out there to do on a Mac. And . . . AND . . . it was an enjoyable read! Go figure.
