If I Am So Smart, Why Can't I lose wait?
by Brooke Castillo
Real help for real people
Brooke Castillo, offers great ideas with real common sense and inspiration on ways to control your food intake, and a great way to track your results.
With over 15 years studying weight loss and a degree in psychology, she explains how eating only when you are truly hungry and not because you are bored or emotional. There is no preaching about what you should and shouldn’t eat. It also helps you make you the number one person in your life you. She explains that exercise should be to help you achieve what you want not to get fast results.
She doesn’t get preachy but she does push you to explore your eating issues, and what made you the way you are. It explores your feelings through exercises and helps you learn to cope with how you feel. She also goes on about how while getting fit you sometimes make bad choices to sabotage your success because you don’t feel worthy. Unlike most weight loss books the only thing you truly need to succeed is a notebook, pen and willpower. You won't be told no to have dessert, or to cut out all carbs, or that you must spend two hours at the gym everyday for the rest of your life to look amazing. It only takes you to change your habits and you to lose the weight or become the person you want to become.
When you finish the book you aren’t on your own like most weight loss books, you have tools and many different tactics to help. I would advise keeping the book for the moments when you really don’t feel like its working anymore, you can open it up get inspiration, get humor, or just reread the chapter that pertains to the problems you are having.
