Courting Emma

by Sharlene MacLaren

A story of forgiveness, finding hope and beyond.

Emma Browning has grown up in an alcholic home where her Dad has embarrassed her all her life. Her Mother died while giving birth to her. Twists and turns reveal things about her relatives as you read through the story. Also, you learn things about Ezra Browning you would not think and his growing up years. In the end, God brings Ezra, the father, and his daughter Emma together and they really get to know one another.

Then there is Jonathan, the Preacher, who also grew up in an alcoholic home. His Mother could not take any more abuse and hung herself. So he went to live with a friend's parents. He became a preacher. He never got to forgive his Dad before he passed on.

There are people all throughout this book that link to Emma and Ezra in ways you would not imagine.

I found this book uplifting and encouraging and could not put it down. It is a book that grips you from line one and keeps you reading.

There are love, forgiveness, and acts of mercy one would not expect.
