Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible

by Liz Curtis Higgs

This book can offer hope to some and make you question why to others?

I read this book hoping for inspiration. I learned a lot about women in the Bible and how God blessed flawed women. The book was moving along so well until I hit Leah and Rachel. There I had a lot of problems. I understand what Liz wrote is true but it makes me question why God blessed Leah instead of Rachel. It has left me with many questions and now I will have to dig into my Bible to look for answers I may have missed. But that can be a good thing too. Because I had been asking where were the blessing for women in the Bible. This does partially answer those questions.

As a woman who has taught children for 40 plus years, I have learned things I had not seen when teaching the children. I used one of the examples of Sarah with my boys in Royal Rangers.

This was my first experience with Bad Girls of the Bible series. It does offer hope to you when your children are rebelling.
