Age Before Beauty
Allie Harrod decides to change careers to spend more time with her baby. So she goes into the home party business trying to sell items at parties. Her mother-in-law shows up at her door expecting to move in as she is mad at her husband. Of course, her son would not throw his mother out, but this adds a lot of tension to the household. Then Allie ends up having to use her mother-in-law a lot to watch the baby. Tension from having a new baby in the house, career change, and various others aspects of life bring tension between Allie and her husband. Allie and her sisters decide they need to have a sister sleep-over which is common with this family. It is a blessing in that they reach out to help one another. But before that, Allie finds herself so deep in debt trying to get a new business off the ground and she is spending very little time with her baby. Also, her husband is being flirted with by a girl in his work place. Who of us cannot relate to these situations. I will warn you that you best read this book when you have plenty of time as it took me only two days to read it. You cannot put it down - like all Virginia Smith's books. A must read if you are a new mother, struggling with mother-in-law in the home, and marriage issues.
