Devil Wears Prada, The

All Andrea Sachs ever wanted to do was write for The New Yorker. When she accepts an assistant job, her first since graduating from college, at the ultra chic Runway magazine, she finds that she can possibly get there sooner than she thought. It seems like fun- couture fashion, supermodels, lavish parties. All she has to do is work for...Miranda Priestly.

Miranda proves to be the most evil person in the world, shouting demands, belittling Andrea and giving her the most chilling looks that could come from a human being. Andrea tells herself that after only one year with Miranda, and a recommendation, she can write for anyone in the magazine world- including The New Yorker. As her year of "slave labor" draws to an end, Andrea finds her friends, family and love slipping away as she succumbs to Miranda's outrageous demands.

Can Andrea hold on long enough to get that coveted recommendation? Will she lose everything she's ever had in the process? Will she be eaten up alive by "the devil who wears Prada"?
