1, 2, I Love You
by Alice Schertle
A playful counting book sung by a mother and a child elephant
Along the lines of "1, 2, Buckle My Shoe" this book counts along all the ways a mother loves her child. "1, 2 I love you, 3, 4, dip and pour." This book answers the age old question, "How much do you love me?" The answer- "I love you from 1 to 10 and back again."
Done in a fanciful rhyme, children will enjoy hearing the poetic text and the soft watercolor illustrations done by Emily Arnold McCully, a Caldecott medal winner.
It is an enjoyable bedtime book- "to fall asleep among the stars we sometimes keep in pickle jars." This rhyming book is appropriate for ages three to seven.
