Buzz Bumble to the Rescue
by Lynn E. Hazen
This bee gets an A+ in bravery!
Buzz Bumble to the Rescue is a sweet and imaginatively written story by Lynn E. Hazen with big, colorful and glorious illustrations by Jill Newton.
Buzz Bumble to the Rescue is the story about a bee named Buzz, who until his sister was born was the center of attention with his family.
When news spread through the garden of famous photographer Ansel Antennae arriving at the garden, Buzz was buzzing with delight of maybe making an appearance in her magazine. But all eyes and a camera were on Buzz’s new sister.
With so commotion going on with Buzz’s sister being in the spotlight, no one but Buzz noticed that his sister was moments away from falling into a Venus flytrap. Buzz knew then, he must find a way to save her!
I read Buzz Bumble to the Rescue at story time to the Pre-K classroom and the children really enjoyed it. Some of the children were curious as to what a Venus flytrap was and also came up with some names for Buzz’s sister. The children also thought the story was funny and scary---a good combination and even wanted to hear it for a second time!
Buzz Bumble to the Rescue is a fun, fresh and cheerful story of sibling jealously, heroism, but most of all, the special bond of a brother and sister.
