Click, Clack, Splish, Splash is by the well known author, Doreen Cronin. In this counting book, she utilizes rhymes and humor to introduce counting concepts to the little ones. While the farmer sleeps, the farm animals plan an unusual fishing trip. The reader needs to look carefully at the pictures in order to figure out why the farmer ends up being so surprised on the last page.

The illustrator Betsy Lewin uses colorful and comical characters to add to the book's whimsy. Young children ages two to five will enjoy the simplicity of the pictures as they learn to count to ten.
