Modeled after The Cat in the Hat books by Dr. Seuss, the text is rhyming and some times silly, but still dispenses basic information about trees for the beginning reader.The book not only names 50 trees and gives information on each; it provides a glossary of simple terms, suggestions for further reading and an index for easy use.
The illustrations by Aristedes Ruiz and Joe Mathieu also mimic the traditional style of Dr. Seuss. This is a great book to read to children ages 4 and 5 and one that a beginning reader will enjoy on their own.
