Increase Vitality
by Michael Reed Gach
Through acupressure, deep breathing and gentle yoga exercises he offers you some simple tools for re- energizing.
I actually listened to this book with my 81 year old mother, who had been visiting me. She was complaining about not having the energy she used to have - though she can still run rings around me. When she comes to visit, she insists on helping out, which to her is catching up on the laundry, the ironing and straightening out the entire house. By the time she goes home, I am utterly exhausted. So, I thought I'd give the tape a try for both of our sakes.
Again a stressful lifestyle is named as a culprit for our problems, as well as eating refined foods and shallow breathing. According to ancient traditional Chinese medicine; self massage, stretching and deep breathing awakens our immune systems.
The first half of the program is easy to do and involves acupressure and an emphasis on breathing deeply. These exercise were simple enough and could be done while sitting on a chair. As usual my mom ran rings around me as she concentrated, stretched to the ceiling, and took long deep breaths. She was a great student. The second half of the tape is a little more difficult and involves some yoga poses that need to be done on the floor.
This tape would be especially helpful to anyone with chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia or just someone like me who wants to keep up with her 81 year old mother.
