The Search for the Perfect Child

Fido the dog detective is on a mission to find the perfect child.

Fido Farnsworth, a dog detective, sets out to find the perfect child. As adults, we know that concept does not exist, but children will find this story humorous.

"What makes a perfect child?" Fido asks. "Some people say the perfect child is creative," and the illustration depicts a fair-haired child madly painting on the refrigerator. Another picture shows a sibling hanging her brother on the clothesline with the caption, "...is always happy to help with the chores." And of course "the perfect child never complains about taking a bath," as the scene illustrates a complete and utter mess in the bathroom.

Fido ends the story declaring "I've found you and you are the perfect child." A great, positive ending to a children's book. The illustrations match the story and are fun and colorful. This book would be appropriate for ages 4 to 7.
